Request Funding for a Chapter Event
To request funding for a chapter event fill out the online Event Backing Request form.
Event Materials
- Sales tracking sheet – Excel spreadsheet template for use in tracking members’ book sales at an event
- Event Book Sales Info – for distribution to HWA participants regarding 20% donation to HWA Hardship Fund
- Hardship Fund Donation table sign – sign that can be displayed on table indicating donation of 20% revenue to HWA Hardship Fund (PDF format)
- HWA Table signs – simple folded signs to set on a table showing HWA logo(PDF format)
- Participants’ Table signs – simple folded signs to set on a table showing names(PDF format)
- HWA flyer – official flyer on HWA that may be printed out and copied (PDF format)

When the Horror Writers Association or one of its chapters appears at or produces an event, HWA is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of our members at these events in any form. Members may report incidents of harassment to the chapter coordinator or an officer of the HWA to request review by the Board of Trustees. Members who violate these rules may be sanctioned or expelled by vote of HWA’s Board of Trustees, per the organization’s bylaws.
